Principal Structural Engineer

The person in this role will be expected to provide their knowledge and expertise on projects to help bring them to reality in a realistic and measurable way that meets expectations all round. This will be an exciting and dynamic role and will allow the position holder to diversify their knowledge and take on new and exciting projects of which they will be vital to the success of.

Your Roles & Responsibilities:
While in this position your duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Conducting surveys and inspections of various structures to ensure these meet set out criteria
  • Preparing reports based on findings from the inspections
  • Ensuring that project programmes are prepared
  • Preparing and creating drawings and specifications, design calculations and analysis and also construction cost estimates
  • Working together with other professionals, such as designers, architects and contractors on the design and construction of projects

What you will need to Apply:

Applicants should possess a minimum of 5 years in structural engineering, and it would be highly beneficial to have experience covering both commercial and domestic projects as well as temporary solutions too. Knowledge of engineering software and AutoCAD is a must. Excellent communication skills will be sought after in this role, to ensure the ability to work with various other professionals and teams and be able to communicate clear and important data when needed.

What you will get in Return:

This role can also be worked in a hybrid capacity with 3 days expected in the office and the rest working from home.
