HVAC Manager

The team at NET Recruit are supporting a leading engineering business with their acquisition search for a HVAC Manager to join the team in the Dublin area. The position holder will be responsible for the working of the site in the Dublin area, alongside site managers. There will be many facets of this role, including project management, sales and sales order processing, overseeing equipment deliveries, contract management, scheduling work and maintaining systems, resulting in this being a varied and interesting role. As such as the job holder will need to be knowledgeable in HVAC matters, a good salesperson and have excellent project and site management skills.

Your Role and Responsibilities
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Handing over order information including technical evaluations, quotations, documentation, control options and requirements for transport and co-ordinating warranty items
  • Updating the company system with orders, organising delivery by collaborating with the factory, creating purchase orders, issuing invoices and issuing documentation for customers
  • Overseeing projects including control projects, providing quotations, determining required controllers, attending site project and hazops meetings, ensuring margins are protected for projects, writing up sequences of operations and liaising with mechanical subcontractors and the service department
  • Providing hands-on support at the site, arranging factory acceptance tests, selecting chiller and AHU equipment, creating a sequence of operations for the Plant Manager and overseeing the offloading and positioning of equipment, 
  • Creating delivery forecasts, schedules for controls jobs, schedules for service department work and sales forecasts on a weekly basis
  • Giving technical support as needed by the team and wider business

What you will need to Apply:
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have experience working within a HVAC business, handling HVAC related projects, sales, sites and equipment. Applicants must have an Engineering qualification, alongside preferably engineering experience, either gained recently or from the start of a career. Very strong interpersonal skills are a must, both in person and via the phone or email as well as a commercial acumen and approach to work. There will also be the option of weekend rota work and candidates must be able to travel across the region.


What you will get in Return:
For the successful candidate, a starting salary, potentially in the region of €70,000 is available, dependent on the degree of experience gained within the HVAC industry.
