Transactional Finance Manager

This role will take ownership of many of the transactional attributes of the finance function, including particularly the sales ledger and credit control areas. The position holder will be leading a team and ensuring that as a unit, the entire team is meeting expectations and overseeing the processes in place, whilst looking for ways to optimise these. This will be a hands on, dynamic and rewarding role, ideal for someone seeking a progressive and motivating opportunity to demonstrate their finance skills and continue developing their career forwards.
  
Your Role and Responsibilities:
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Handling month end reconciliations and other monthly transactional finance duties
  • Leading the transactional and finance operations teams, supporting staff progression, leading appraisals, organising training and reporting on team and individual performance against KPIs
  • Supporting the development of policies and procedures for the team, monitoring current processes and seeking opportunities to optimise these
  • Dispatching sales invoices, maintaining the sales ledgers and performing reconciliations
  • Setting up direct debits onto the system, posting payments to customer accounts and ensuring they are calculated correctly and collected in a timely manner
  • Providing reporting on aged debt analysis and write offs, processing the write offs onto the systems as needed
  • Managing the credit control for the business, monitoring the debt from month-to-month, alongside sending reminders to accounts, chasing payments and setting up payment plans, whilst also providing support on advanced cases
  • Overseeing the allocation of receipts on accounting systems and customer accounts
  • Providing support on system implementations across the finance function


What You Will Need To Apply:
The business is keen to hear from experienced transactional finance professionals, in possession of a qualification such as at least AAT, and with experience encompassing sales ledger, purchase ledger and credit control management. Good systems knowledge would be valuable in this role, including accounting systems and wider IT systems and Microsoft Office. Team management experience is also coveted, alongside excellent communication skills and a proactive, organised approach to work.

For the successful candidate in this role, a starting salary in the region of £50,000 could be on offer, depending on relevant experience possessed that can be applied to this position.
